So, what went well - the implementation of vintage media clips between sections worked very well and complements the piece - reminds me of a Swedish metal band i'm into. And the sounds you have used are authentic and don't sound shoddy or rushed.
However, it is simply a little too quick. Quick can be good! But the approach of MOAR QUIKK is not necessarily the way forward sir! Slow this down a tad, then try uploading a reprise. Then you should have a great techno piece under your name!

Thanks, but I like this the way it is now! To be honest, it used to be even faster. The melodies featured in this song are well-suited for a higher tempo and I prefer to leave it like this. I don't go for MOAR QUIKK or anything like that -- it just suits the song the way it is now.

I guess it's really just a matter of taste.

As a fanatic lover of the decade's music, I was eager to see what you did with this, given the name. You've actually almost got it here, the sole use of synth sounds are a good start, and a simple, yet crystal clear melody also characterizes it so. HOWEVER, a few factors you are missing in order too achieve the sound you presumably wanted is firstly the drum beat. As a modern piece of electronica, it is fine, however with an 80's inspired song you want a lower-res drum kit sound, and you want some regular fills with the toms to really make it authentic. The bassline I reckon should alternate between two octaves - a real stereotype of that era. Lastly, you need to go a bit crazier with the synth! The melody is far too conservative! You should have wacky off beat chords on the synth, and practically find any excuse to throw in some crazy synthelicious moments in there! What made the era was the experimentation with sound! You've come very close, and if you DO ever revise this, I will be looking forward to the improvment!

A fantastic example of techno right here! Could easily fit with professional club music, so a job well done! However the portamento effects you have going on are executed well, but occur a TAD too often, they become a given in the song. I reckon it would be better to savour the portamento for a bridge of some kind, so the song has a build up to something snazzy and hard hitting, rather than being scattered into different segments of the song. Structure, essentially! But alas, fantastic job!

A fanatical follower of all things New wave and Synthpop, not to mention a devout worshipper of the God that is Mr David Bowie. I compose stuffs, and I reviews stuffs - that is all, my sugar dumplings.
